Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quiet & efficient We've been using this dishwasher for a few weeks now. We were a little worried about how loud it would be; we didn't know how many decibels the old washer was, so we couldn't compare. This dishwasher is very quiet! I can't imagine paying more to get it quieter. As is, we can have it running during dinner (15 feet away) and nobody notices that it's on. All of our dishes have come out very clean and the set up is efficient for getting the most dishes and utensils in there at a time. We're very happy with our purchase! Rated 1 out of 5 by from Horrible product We bought a house and the dishwasher was broken completely. So we bought this, brand new, after shopping around. I've never been so disappointed with an appliance and wish we never wasted our money on this. After less than a year, we needed a repairman to come look at it as it quit draining water. The utensils hardly ever come clean. It started leaking water and that's a big job to fix now, since whirlpool discovered it was an issue and quit selling just the seal. One of the wheels broke on the bottom rack. All this after just a year. Now, water doesnt even come out anymore, so now it doesn't work at all. And its 2.5 years old!!! This is such a ridiculous appliance. I will never buy another Whirlpool product again. I'd like to thank you for making my day in the kitchen last longer with the frustration of a piece of garbage dishwasher. Thanks Whirlpool.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Dishwasher Ever! This dishwasher came with the house I bought. I didn’t choose it it looks great and does not clean nor dry well at all. This is not my first dishwasher. I’ve had several. This is the first dishwasher that routinely fails to get dishes clean. The silverware rack on the door is a mess. The bottom basket hangs on stuff in the rack, when you roll the rack out, if anything is sticking up at all. Knives never get clean! The wash cycles are the worst!!!!! There’s no rinse cycle. No small load cycle. The shortest cycle is the “1-Hour Wash” Which means your dishes will be wet and probably not clean. The “Normal” cycle takes 2 hours and 32 minutes. If you want DRY dishes with “Heat Dry”, then it’ll take 3 hours and 18 minutes!!! SERIOUSLY?! I want my dishes dry in this lifetime! And, as mentioned earlier, dishes are often dirty when finished. For this dishwasher to work reliably, you must wash you dishes before you wash them in the dishwasher. (I wanted to be nice and say: “... must rinse or wash ...”. The amount of prep it takes to get dishes ready — I might as well wash by hand.) What was the thought process when you designed this thing?! It’s going in the trash heap when I can afford to replace it! Bad dishwasher!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very quite We had a stainless steel dishwasher but it was hard to keep clean. We bought the black . Very quite dishes come out very clean. Only con is I wished they had made the silverware holder wider. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Professional looking. Been using for 8 months. Dishes must be well washed before loading. Even with rinse aid there’s often moisture left on dishes. It’s ok but I wouldn’t buy this dishwasher again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad design Are Whirlpool dishwasher went out a little over a year ago so my mom decided that she would buy another one Whirlpool Gold Series well when the guys come and installed it and we used it for the first time it left a white resin all over the dishes and silverware where overtime we realize that it was detergent that wasn't being dissolved all the way and we thought maybe that the water wasn't getting hot enough to dissolve it will to come find out this isn't the case it seems that a lot of people are having the same problem with this model and my question to you guys Whirlpool what can we do to fix this problem since we paid so much for this and we own all well Pool Products

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Piece of Junk! I purchased this dishwasher over a year ago and it has never worked correctly. I thought it was some setting on it, but now that I have read everyone else's reviews I recognize that I should have done some research. Same issues. Long wash cycles, noisy, dishes not clean. Today it ran a complete cycle and my wife is hand washing every dish. Worst dishwasher we have ever purchased.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worse dishwasher!! We bought a house and this came with it, at first we were glad we had a brand new one, but after using it I wish we would've just bought a different one. This not only takes forever to clean the dishes but they are always wet and not clean. The pods don't dissolve even after multiple times of running it. I have to just hand wash all the dishes or else its like they just get wet with lukewarm water. It's infuriating. DO NOT PURCHASE THIS DISHWASHER! It's defective or something.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So bad on so many levels My brand new house came with all whirlpool appliances. The dishwasher is the worst. Why must a dishwasher run for 3 hours? All dishes have to be scraped off and rinsed thoroughly to get clean-no matter what the setting. The dishes and the interior of the dishwasher are always soaking wet. Today I wiped mold out of the edge by the base of the door. Not a good feeling when you’re washing dishes in a moldy dishwasher. How do I dry out the inside of the dishwasher?? I want my Bosch back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it except when Anyware basket falls off I have a Gold Series dishwasher, but I guess it's last year or the year before's model. It's a W10698637A, which also has an Anyware basket. I really like all the settings and rack configurations of this dishwasher, and mine is really quiet. The only complaint I have is that the utensil basket tends to fall off or accidentally unfold too easily. I use the separators flipped down for my utensils, and if you're taking one out and it pulls up on the cover, it's very likely the entire basket falls out of its seat or pops open. That is a minor complaint for me, and overall I am really pleased. Others have commented about odors, and once in a while I do smell something funny, but it's not like it stinks up my kitchen or makes me sick or anything that serious.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst dishwasher ever This is the dishwasher that came with my newly built home. Horrible. It has never worked well. I have to run the stupid thing at least 3 times to get the dishes semi clean, and end up have to rewash by hand most of the time. If you want to use the detergent pouches, good luck. It doesnt dissolve them. Most of the time, i open the dishwasher and the dishes smell horrile. Theyre dirtier than when they went in. I clean the filter after every use, and it doesnt make a difference. Do not buy this.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Do not buy! I would not recommend this dishwasher to my worst enemy. absolute horrible product ! I have to run the thing like three times and it still doesn't wash all the soap out even if there are no dishes in the washer
Date published: 2017-09-29
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unusable For a dishwasher that's 4 years old - I should have repaired the old one instead of purchasing this new Gold Series. So far spent over $200 just in parts for this thing. Parts are cheap and don't last. Last Whirlpools dishwasher we'll buy.
Date published: 2017-04-07
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Horrid! On a couple of fronts... I gave it a 2 because the machine looks great and is in fact quiet. However, when a dishwasher doesn't wash dishes even when it was new – well, I think that's a problem. Just horrid! And no customer service – I've tried several times!
Date published: 2017-04-07
Rated 1 out of 5 by from 3 months old -- breaking down We've had this dishwasher for 3 months and it's falling apart. All of the many many plastic pieces holding things together are breaking one by one and the heating element in the bottom is corroding. The wine glass rack is a joke. The adjustable plastic pieces on the top rack collapse if something even barely touches them so you can't put anything where they are unless you want a bunch of broken glass.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from don't buy! this dishwasher is horrible! doesn't clean at all . dishes have to be run through twice. silverware always dirty! silverware basket always comes out.. silverware all over the place!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't Buy- horrible Bought this in August 2016- we have tried every setting and the dishes are never very clean nor are they dry. Our 13 year old dishwasher that didn't drain was much more effective. So disappointed!!! Will never buy whirlpool again- EVER!!! :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice dishwasher I bought this a month ago and it does the job. My only complaint is that it doesn't dry the dishes as well as my last machine. I love the sensor wash. It does a great job cleaning (I found that liquid dishwasher soap works best with my water) and it is so quiet. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Date published: 2016-11-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works better than my last one! I needed a dishwasher that would actually wash dishes. This dishwasher satisfies that requirement [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
Date published: 2016-11-12
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not so great This was a less than okay purchase. On the good side, it is fairly quiet. I have to prewash everything as it is not a good cleaner. I HATE the utensil placement. It always gets stuck on the bottom rack. The top rack's propeller melted within a few months. It has the worst drain system and it leaks consistently. It does not get the dishes clean and it leaves tons of sediment. For us the top placement of the controls gets stuck under our countertop so we have to pull the dishwasher out to get the controls to work. Worst dishwasher I've ever owned.
Date published: 2016-11-05
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Drying It does not dry all the dishes when the cycle is over. Everything is still wet [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
